The Carr Suite
The Carr House is a Galesburg landmark and is located in the historical District at 560 North Prairie Street. The entire south side of the home is available for your comfort, as well as a large living room, dining room, and kitchen. The Carr House has been recently renovated with loving attention, yet retains the defining details of this period home.

The Taft Suite features a pillow-top queen mattress with luxury sheets and pillows. The suite is outfitted with antique furniture and includes a private bath and cable television.

The Fagan Room is a very spacious suite featuring a king size bed, with a lovely wrought-iron frame. It also boasts a sitting area that includes cable television, a stunning antique armoire and antique settee.
The McKinley Suite is named after President William McKinley, and includes a large room, queen bed, and antique furniture in the sitting area. Also included are luxurious robes, a built-in cedar armoire, private bath, and cable television. This room is still under renovation.
We are eager to make your stay at the Carr House an enjoyable one. We offer complimentary transportation from the Galesburg Amtrak Station, as well as complimentary transportation to many of Galesburg’s attractions, such as Knox College (the site of the Lincoln-Douglas debates) and the Carl Sandburg birthplace. Historic Seminary Street, which includes an antique mall and many shops, is within walking distance as well.
The Carr House is a non-smoking establishment. We are sorry, but we are unable to accommodate pets at this time.
